Literary Luminaries is an academic book club designed for KS2 and KS3 girls who wish to strengthen their literary understanding, critical thinking, and writing skills. Each weekly session explores a carefully chosen work of literature, with an emphasis on close reading, analytical discussion, and thoughtful engagement with language, theme, and context.
Students are guided through structured responses using the PEE (Point, Evidence, Explanation) method, alongside creative tasks such as diary entries, character studies, and rewritten scenes. The club is especially suited for students preparing for English exams, as it builds a strong foundation in vocabulary, interpretation, and literary analysis.
Sessions are delivered in an inspiring, supportive environment that encourages curiosity and academic growth. Places are limited to ensure high-quality discussion and individual attention. To learn more or reserve a place, please get in touch.
The sessions are held weekly on Saturdays at 10 am UK time.
The fee is £12.50 per session or £100 per term (8 weeks), with termly payment securing a place for the full programme.
